Dates: 31 May 2012 - 10 Jun 2012
In L’Homme Au Naturel, Kitti Narod celebrates the relaxed state of men comfortable in their own skin. Men in the private chambers of their bed or bathroom, with pets at home or sunning on the beach, at exercise or disrobing, these are men in their most natural state, doing as they please in activities of their choice. Kitti adopts the simplest of compositions for most of his subjects, an indirect emulation of “Chinese painting” which he admires, to depict innocent wide-eyed men in their element and utmost masculine beauty.
Kitti Narod trained at the Wittayalai Phochan Art College, Bangkok from 1996-1998 and later obtained his Bachelor’s degree from the Rajamonkong Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand in 2000. He has exhibited extensively in Bangkok and internationally, including London, Bath, Edinburgh, Manchester, Dublin, Cork, Montreal and Melbourne, including a solo at Galerie Quartier Libre in Montreal, Canada in 2009. L’Homme Au Naturel is his second solo show and first in Singapore.
